Field-Map in Keywords - Differentiating Field-Map

When the user measure the position of a tree, it actually measure a point on the stem surface, not the center of the tree. Field-Map has a routine, which corrects this shift. After downloading or entering DBH information, Field-Map automatically recalculates the actual stem position by adding half of the diameter and moves the tree center points to their exact position.

Whether the user downloads the DBH from calliper or manually, Field-Map automatically refreshes the position of the trees depending on their DBH and the direction of the measurement.
