The aim of this project was to perform a field campaign at Norunda Central Site to provide data of above ground biomass for carbon stock assessment. These data should represent the biomass component of carbon budget to be used and evaluated in connection with the long-term carbon flux measurements at the 100 m tall tower. The project used Field-Map technology and performed analysis of carbon stock using inventory analyst, an analytical module of Field-Map. Other goal was to evaluate suitability of the advanced computer-aided field data collection method (Field-Map) for providing carbon stock data and monitoring for similar eddy-correlation flux tower sites in Europe and other regions.
