Unlike the database structure, which you create in Field-Map Project Manager stored in the folder [ProjectDirection]\Misc, the structure of collected data is unique for each project. The data of each project is saved in the directory named by the project. Metadatabase format of Field-Map project is XML.


Tables containing collected descriptive attributes and local lookup lists used in the project are all stored on the Access database file named FieldMapData_NameOfProject.accdb.


It is a good habit to save all files used in the background map composition in one folder (e.g. folder Maps). If the map files are very large, it is recommended to place this directory outside the project directory to avoid unnecessary backup of these map files


All shapefiles are sorted by plot and saved in the Map layers directory or directly in geodatabase (attributes FMGIS_...). This saving depends on the settings (General / Map layers handling).


Videos, voice messages and pictures downloaded to the project are also saved in the project directory.
