Backup Database

It’s recommended to ensure a correct database backup procedure to avoid possible data loss. You can create data backup automatically during opening Field-Map project with custom time period (see the chapter Settings). Backup of the project runs in independent thread (does not delay ongoing work)



By default automatic backup frequency is set to seven days. Field-Map saves complete Field- Map project into the same folder as original Field-Map project. Created Backup_ProjectName folder includes NameProject_YearMonthDayHourMinute compressed .zip file. You can insert additional identification into the backup file name using Keyword field. There is automatic backup of XML metadatabase (if changed) as well. Backup of the project runs in independent thread (does not delay ongoing work).





Note:

Backup procedure settings are saved in particular Field-Map project and it will be applied after transmissing on another computer too.
  1. Switch to the Plots form
  2. Click the Database tools button
  3. Select Backup Database



  1. Save path window appears
  2. Click the Yes button to backup database
