Positioning using set of trees
The precision check window can help you identify wrong measurements. The distance error to each tree and standard is displayed.
Repeated measurement
If the trees do not have DBH and it is a repeated measurement, the DBH from the previous measurement is taken.
Basal area
The basal area in the map is displayed enlarged (for better orientation according to the size of the tree).
Each tree can be used for positioning only once.
Angle encoder
Positioning on trees using angle encoder calculate the bearing instead of magnetic declination.

Make sure that tree position and DBH is entered
- In the Map form click Position button

- Select Set of trees (main pole)
Positioning using Set of Trees dialog box appears
- Click OK

- Select the tree you are able to identify
- Click Measure button
Measure distance and azimuth to the selected tree
- Field-Map estimates your position and adds the first tree to the Measurement data
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for at least two other trees
- Field-Map shows you the result and precision of your position (standard deviation)
- Measurement points
- When you are satisfied click OK
