Setting the shape of the plot based on the previously mapped polygon is very efficient tool for ecophysiological as well as physical-geographical field works. You can set shape of the plot same as e.g., area covered by specific soil type or forest composition.
  1. Make a polygon layer active
  2. Click Tools menu


  1. Select Use as Plot Boundary menu item


  1. Preview of polygonal layer, future plot boundary, appears
  2. Click OK


  1. Shape of polygon is set as a shape of the plot
