Slanted trees

With Field-Map you can measure slanted trees and visualize them on the transect.



When you measure the slanted tree, using mode Inclination+Azimuth to Slant Tree Top, it is necessary to take measurements from a position perpendicular to the direction of the slant


       

Before measuring the slant of the tree you have to measure its height

  1. Position yourself perpendicularly to the direction of the tree slant



  1. Switch to the Trees form
  2. Click the Mode button
  3. Select the Inclination + Azimuth to Slant Tree Top mode



  1. Select the tree. Notice that in this moment “Height” and “Tree length” are the same
  2. Click Slant tree button Aim at the tree top to measure the inclination and azimuth



  1. “Tree length” now differs from “Height”
