Link trees / points to subplots - explanation
This action is valid only for projects where inventory plot can be divided into several segments.

This action assigns all mapped trees/points from selected layer to appropriate subplot (e.g. plot segment) based on their location on the inventory plot. The action is equal to data spatial join action common for most of GIS application. The advantage of using IA instead of GIS system is that all the plots are made at the same moment (batch processing).
New attribute “Subplot ID” will be added to tree/point attribute table and filled by relevant data.
