3.23 Predefined step of ID

ID step

Whenever a new entity is added into a layer, a new ID is generated using the ID step.

When “Prompt for new ID” function is active and a new entity is added, “New ID for layer” window appears and new ID can be edited by user. Using of predefined step and prompting for new ID can be activated or deactivated in Field-Map Data Collector for each layer.

Prompt for new ID

If not active, Field-Map will automatically define the ID of a new entity or record based on the “New ID” option. You can decide for “Prompt window” for each map and data layer individually. If active, the user’s approval of ID will be required.

1. Select the map layer that you want to set the ID step for.
2. Click the Layer options tab.
3. Enter the step between a new ID and the last already existing ID.
4. Tag the Prompt for new ID check box.
