Equipment settings

Make sure that you have the device connected to the computer and that correct COM port has been selected for the device in Settings.



You can check the communication with GPS by clicking the dot button in upper left corner of the GPS monitor window. You will see the messages sent from GPS to the computer.


       


Note: During the GPS measuring a new point in points form can be described.
  1. Double click the point layer to make it active
  2. Click the GPS button
  3. Click the Add point button 

Field-Map starts gathering data from the GPS and shows the point position in co-ordinates of GPS default system and also in the co-ordinates of the projected co-ordinate system



  1. During gathering data from the GPS Field-Map shows information about PDOP, number of satellites and amount of finished measurements on the information bar. 


To open GPS measurement dialog box press GPS monitor button. When the defined number of measurements is taken, the dialog box is closed automatically 


To accept a measurement before automatic termination click the Accept measurement button
