Creating a buffer

You can create a buffer around a centroid.
  1. Double click the polygon layer to make it active
  2. Select a centroid
  3. Click the Tools button



  1. Choose Create buffer menu item



  1. Enter the buffer size into the Circle radius edit box or
  2. Select a Circle size and the Circle radius will be fill in automatically 
  3. Select the destination layer for the buffer
  4. Click OK



  1. A buffer is created
