Shift map labels of points, trees or centroids and create a connection line

When you move the label, a connecting line between point position and new label position can be created in a user defined line layer. The line can be stored with a selected attribute value. If you want to restore default label position, move the point only about few pixels.



Note

Shift of map labels is allowed only for layers, where pen mapping is allowed.
  1. Make a point/tree/ polygon layer active
  2. Select a point/tree/centroid



  1. Drag the point/tree/centroid and drop it in a new position



  1. An new window Save new position appears
  2. Tag Off set label to move the label position
  3. Optionally tag the Create connecting line option and choose a user defined line layer where a “connecting line” will be stored (optionally with a value for selected attribute)
  4. Click OK



  1. Label has been moved and the connecting line has been created
