“Distance Measurement” mode

This mode is useful on plots with high stem density where you cannot see more than one tree from your position. With this mode you don’t have to worry about your or the trees position before you start measuring heights, because the laser is used as a classic hypsometer.


Measured system attributes

Before editing any attributes you have to measure the position of the tree

  1. Switch to the Trees form
  2. Select the tree
  3. Click the Mode button



  1. Select the Distance Measurement mode



  1. The control panel changes its appearance



  1. Click the Distance button and measure the distance to the tree using the laser;

Send data to the computer



  1. Measure the inclination to the stem base



  1. Measure the inclination to the tree top



  1. Measure the inclination to the live crown base



  1. Measure the inclination to the dead crown base



  1. Check the measured data
