Updating attributes from a file

Unlike the previous function, this one updates all records but only at one level (not at subordinate tables). No records are added. To update all records in all levels, see “Importing non geographic data”.


You can add data stored in database formats *.accdb, *.mdb, *.xlsx, *.xls, *.dbf, *.db, *.fdb.
  1. Click the right mouse button in the appropriate column. A menu pops up
  2. Select the menu item Update attributes from file



  1. Browse for a file



  1. Assign attributes that represents primary key of the source table to attributes of the target table



  1. Assign attributes of the source table to attributes of the target table using the Add button or
  2. Use Assign Fields by Name button to assign attributes with corresponding names
  3. Click OK
