2.7 Opening an existing project

Direct search

Field-Map automatically searches for Field-Map projects throughout the entire drive. If you know the exact path to the project, you can use the direct search option. Just tag the “direct search” check box in the lower left corner of the “Find Field-Map projects” dialog box and a browser will appear.

List of recently used projects

Selecting a project from the “Open project” window and pressing the delete key allows you to clear up the list of recently opened projects. This will not delete projects as such, but only remove them from the list. This reduces long project lists to better manageable size.

Stop button

While Field-Map searches through a drive, the Cancel button changes to Stop. Using the Stop button, you can stop the searching procedure when the requested project appears on the list.

1. Select the menu item Project > Open Project. 
   The dialog box “Open project” appears.

2. Double click the project from the list of recently opened files 
   or
3. double click More files. Field-Map starts searching for projects on a particular drive. 

4. Select the project. 
5. Click OK.
