4.13 Lookup lists (explanation)
Working with layer attributes > Lookup lists (explanation)
Lookup lists are preferably used where a set of predefined values is known prior to commencing data collection. A lookup list attribute has the following advantages:
- Fast data collection.
- Database consistency (only the predefined values may be entered).
- The possibility to predefine the conditionality of lookup lists.
At the beginning, the lookup list is defined in Field-Map Project Manager.

Field worker collects data by selecting predefined values in combo boxes in Field-Map Data Collector.

Finally, after the data export for further processing, you will get a table with data and a table with a lookup list. You will appreciate the advantage of numerical IDs when evaluating data. You can later link the meanings (values) to their IDs.
