It is possible to measure without knowledge of correct azimuth adding random reference point. Relative distances of measured entities will be correct but whole plot will be rotated against geographical north.


In the Settings have to be select a Device Type - LTI angle encoder.



You have to set your position, before you will measure a point. If you do not set a position you will receive
  1. Locate equipment in local origin of co-ordinates
  2. Place pole with reflector at least 10 m far from equipment and measure azimuth using compass counting with actual magnetic declination
  3. Add manually reference point by polar coordinates using measured azimuth



  1. Follow steps of Positioning using angle encoder
  2. After establishing correct bearing delete reference point - used point doesn't have correct distance and inclination from local origin
  3. Continue mapping in the plot


Coordinates of position with corrected bearing are visibled in a red rectangular if you put mouse (cursor) on a position button
