10.14 Creating a buffer around points

Size from attribute

When you choose Size from attribute option in Create buffer dialog box, you can choose a numerical attribute of a point layer and a buffer circle will be created using the attribute value for radius.

Double click the point layer to make it active
Click the Tools button

Select the Create buffer menu item

Choose a buffer size or enter the radius of buffer circle
Choose a target layer for buffers
Click OK

Buffers appear on the map
