4.3 General settings - Measurement data replacement, Repeated measurement and Grid size
MEASUREMENT DATA REPLACEMENT:
- Input data from keyboard
Instead of sending data from external measurement devices (laser range-finder etc.) it is possible to enter values directly via a screen dialog box. This is used for testing and training of Field-Map on desktop computers without field equipment connected.

- Enable pen mapping
Pen mapping enables users to use a pen for adding new entities into the map. Pen mapping is possible for only those layers, which have permission for pen mapping. This permission can be granted in Field-Map Project Manager. Mapping by pen is used for not highly precise mapping but also for testing the project.

REPEATED MEASUREMENT:
- Enable attribute verification (on-line)
This option is related to repeated measurement. When adjusting values for copied layers, you can switch on/off the Verify attributes window. See more about verifying attributes in the Project Manager user guide.
- Show verification details (for conditional lookup lists)
This option is related to repeated measurement. When adjusting values for copied layers, if this option is activated, the Verify attribute window appears each time a conditional attribute is changed because of changing its master attribute. See more about verifying attributes in the Project Manager user guide.
GRID SIZE:
- Grid size
Defines the size of a virtual grid, which can be displayed over the map to improve orientation.
