Importing trees

The crown profile and the stem profile are not importable. Import trees function can import any of the user attributes and also Z co-ordinates or Species. However, it is not possible to import the DBH attribute. For importing the DBH attribute as well as for updating of any other attributes see “Update Attributes from File“ function. For importing Crown projections into the crown projections layer follow the same procedure as with importing polygons.
  1. Select a Tree layer by clicking or doubleclicking on it
  2. Click the Tools button



  1. Click the Import Trees menu item



  1. Browse for the file and open it



  1. The “Assign attribute fields” dialog box appears
  2. Select an appropriate field from source table
  3. Select an appropriate field from target table
  4. Click the Add button to assign attributes



  1. Trees are imported into the selected layer
