Working with project > Metadata files
Metadata information describes the whole project structure, user scripts, symbols, etc. It is stored in the sub-folder Misc. The format of metadata is XML. It is strongly recommended not to alter or delete any file from the folder Misc.
The most important file is “FieldMapProject.xml” where a definition of the project structure is stored. Every time when Field-Map runs, it creates a backup of this file (name of the backup file in ~backup folder). In an emergency situation, when you need to use a previous version of metadata, just copy and rename XML file from ~backup folder back to Misc directory, run Field-Map Project Manager and compile the project (see the chapter Compiling a project).
