3.8 Conditional appearance of layers

Working with layers > Conditional appearance of layers

There has to be a lookup list attribute present in a parent layer of the layer you want to set the appearance as the conditional.

  1. First you need a lookup list attribute in a parent layer.



  1. Select the layer that you want to set as the conditional.



  1. Select the menu item Layers > Conditional Appearance of Layer 



  1. or click the button on the layer toolbar.



  1. Dialog box “Conditional Appearance of Layer” appears.
  2. In the column of Available master lookup lists select the lookup list with the required conditional items.
  3. Items of the selected lookup list appear in the column Overview of lookup list items.
  4. Move “true” conditional items to the column of Selected lookup list items.
  5. Click OK.



  1. A symbol of conditionality appears in front of the layer icon.




Conditional Appearance of a Layer (detailed)

This feature enables field workers to collect the data for a layer only if a certain condition is fulfilled. In the following example, the Height class form will appear only if a regeneration is present.


Step 1: Create the master lookup list.
