Individual shift

Plot ID is a unique identification of any data collected in a particular plot. It appears in every data table for each record as a part of the compound identifier.

The function “Change plot ID” changes the IDPlots values in all the records of all data tables.

In this example the ID of Plot has been changed from 1 to 101. This change is automatically transferred to all data tables in the project.

Overall shift

On the top of changing a single plot ID you can also change a set of plots using an externally defined table.

The externally defined table (MS Access / MS Excel / (or formerly used dBase)) should contain at least two integer fields: old ID and new ID.

You can also perform an overall shift of IDs by defining a fixed increment.
