9. Synchronization

In this chapter:

• Create new server project
• Changing lookup list structure via synchronization
• Changing project database structure via synchronization
• Sending text messages
• Sending files
• Adding plot to the user
• Removing plots from users databases

Synchronization is a procedure which ensures consistency of database structure and lookup list content between group of Field-Map projects, including sending text messages, files and attribute data. Synchronization can be started in Field-Map Data Collector, however, in Field-Map Project Manager you can effectively manage commands of Synchro Journal.

In order to store synchro log in text files add following code to system2.ini file:

[Synchronization]

SynchroLog=1

RepetitionIntervalMinutes=1

Synchro log text files are stored in project structure (Misc\SynchroLog). Repetition interval sets timeout to repeat synchronizing plot previously blocked on server by other user.
